Tennis

Serve Up Some Fun!

Tennis challenges athletes to develop coordination, agility, strategy and concentration while learning serves, volleys, ground strokes and match play. Athletes can compete in events appropriate to their skill and experience.

What athletes need: A properly sized tennis racquet, comfortable athletic clothing and supportive court or tennis shoes. Tennis balls are generally provided at practices and competitions.

Season: Practices generally begin in late winter or early spring. Area and regional competitions take place during the spring, with qualifying athletes potentially advancing to the Special Olympics Texas Summer Games in late April or early May.

Interested in joining the team? Contact our head coach to learn about practices, eligibility and how to get started.
