Unified Flag Football
Compete Together. Belong Together.
Unified Special Olympics Flag Football at Texas A&M University brings together Texas A&M students and adults with intellectual disabilities to compete as teammates on and off the field. Offered through Texas A&M Recreational Sports in partnership with Special Olympics Texas, the program, which is open to men and women, emphasizes inclusion, teamwork and respect while developing football skills and building friendships. Unified athletes celebrate the joy of sport and the power of shared achievement in a supportive, spirited Aggie environment.
What athletes need: Athletes should wear comfortable shorts and a T-shirt, sturdy athletic shoes (with or without cleats), and a mouthguard. Texas A&M University provides game pennies and all other equipment.
Season: Unified Flag Football takes place in the fall. Weekly games are on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the Texas A&M University Campus – Penberthy North Complex (Field # 11), 1 Penberthy Boulevard in College Station. Paid parking is available across the street from the fields in Lot #100.
